Authentic Insurance Nationwide Launch Training
McKenzie Gilbert from FIRST Connect welcomed attendees to a refresher training on Authentic's nationwide launch, outlining the product details including commission rates and portal access. Drew from Authentic presented the company's background as a commercial MGA specializing in program insurance, covering their current verticals like restaurants, fitness facilities, and retail businesses, as well as upcoming programs including an umbrella policy launching in the coming weeks. The discussion detailed coverage options including general liability, professional liability, and property coverage, with specific underwriting requirements such as revenue limits and alcohol service restrictions for restaurants.
Insurance Products Portal Overview
Drew provided an overview of insurance products and coverage options available through the portal, including details on fitness accounts, professional liability, vape shops, and grocery stores. He explained underwriting rules, coverage limits, and exclusions for each product type, emphasizing the sweet spot for immediate coverage and areas requiring additional underwriting. Drew also demonstrated the quoting process in the portal, highlighting key features like downloading quotes, managing policies through the Policy Hub, and payment options. Hunt asked about downloading quotes, which Drew confirmed could be done using the download arrow next to the share link.
BPP and GL Insurance Coverage
The meeting focused on clarifying questions about the BPP and GL insurance coverage limits, access to the portal, and specific policy details for various business types. Drew confirmed that the BPP limit is up to $500K with Everspan or $1M with STAR, and that building coverage is by referral only with a $20K minimum requirement. The team discussed various business scenarios, including food trucks, 24-hour diners, and grocery stores, with specific requirements such as inspection reports for grocery stores and no coverage for vape/tobacco wholesalers. It was confirmed that agents can now access the portal immediately and that previously declined requests can be re-submitted and approved without additional forms.
