Vanessa demonstrated the CHUBBSMallBusiness.com platform, showcasing its functionalities for starting, retrieving, and managing insurance quotes. She highlighted key features such as capturing quote numbers, emailing quotes, and processing payments, while emphasizing the importance of accurate insured contact information. The platform allows users to select payment options, issue policies, and download certificates of insurance (COIs). Vanessa also explained how to retrieve quotes separately for different products and noted that all quotes must be retrieved individually if accessed after closing the session.
CSB Platform Offerings and Access
The meeting focused on clarifying the CSB platform's offerings and the process for accessing them. Jody explained that currently, only general liability (GL) coverage, along with work comp and cyber, is available through the platform, excluding BOP (Business Owner's Policy) for unappointed sub-agents. She emphasized that to access broader products like BOP, sub-agents must first build a book of business with them, which will qualify them for direct appointment. Bubba addressed several questions about the platform's functionality, such as the lack of a quote list and the self-service nature of the portal, while Vanessa confirmed that there is no offline assistance or chat for pre-bind clarifications. Jody acknowledged the partnership with First Connect, which allows them to service a large network of sub-producers through the CSB platform, and encouraged participants to grow their business with them.
Chubb Platform Access and Guidelines
The meeting focused on addressing questions about the CHUBB platform and appetite guide. Jody clarified that agent access is limited to First Connect products and explained that policy binding or issuance is not possible without a producer code. Bubba explained that New York has a restricted appetite due to filing and rating challenges. Vanessa confirmed that insurers have access to the CHUBB client center for direct billing after placement in the service center. The team emphasized the importance of entering the correct email address during the issuance process to ensure proper access to policy information.
