Porch Insurance Texas Launch Overview
Mackenzie Gilbert, the Strategic Partnership Manager at First Connect, introduced the Porch team and announced the launch of a new homeowners insurance product in Texas. Randy Anderson, the First Connect National Account Manager for Porch Insurance, explained that the product, which is 13% new and 12% renewal, will offer enhanced coverages and rewards, though rates may be higher initially due to discount migration. Victor Morales from the L&D team detailed the product's three core pillars: Protect More, Reduce Risk, and Reward Customers, emphasizing its appeal to new homebuyers and homeowners. The presentation included a demo of the policy management system, Britecore, and highlighted the Porch Home Warranty, which provides coverage for breakdowns due to regular wear and tear.
Porch Insurance Coverage Overview
Tyler discussed Porch Insurance's coverage for homeowners, including protection for critical service lines, water backup, and sump pump coverage. He highlighted key coverage highlights such as dwelling limits up to $2 million, options to adjust personal property and other structures coverage, and a 20% ALE (Additional Living Expenses) fixed rate. Tyler also explained that homes up to 100 years old are eligible, with older homes requiring proof of major system updates. He mentioned that Jamie, the assigned underwriter, can provide more details on acceptable proof. Tyler then outlined ineligible risks and optional endorsements, including a new roof discount and dwelling attributes that can reduce premiums.
Porch's Risk Management and Rewards
Victor and Tyler discussed Porch's second and third pillars, focusing on reducing risks and rewarding customers. They explained how Porch helps members proactively address home issues through personalized risk insights, seasonal maintenance reminders, and a virtual home assistant. The Porch Home app centralizes home information and provides tools for managing risks and making better decisions. Victor highlighted exclusive perks and benefits for members, including insurance premium discounts, moving labor, and handyman service vouchers. Tyler mentioned the new policy management system, BrightCore, which will be implemented to enhance service delivery.
BriteCore Account Setup and Navigation
Victor demonstrated how to access and create a BriteCore account using the provided agent producer number and email instructions. He explained how to navigate the system's main modules for creating quotes, searching for policies and claims, and addressed minor bugs in the user interface. Victor also showed how to input contact information, add named insureds, and handle mortgagee details, noting that some bugs were being addressed by the IT team.

Tyler demonstrated the rating and quoting process for Porch Insurance's homeowner policy in Texas, highlighting key features like scheduled personal property, discounts, and the use of BriteCore's system. Victor walked through the final steps of binding a policy and managing it in the system.
