The presentation aimed to showcase GUARD's value proposition, including their broad appetite, ease of doing business, and exceptional service, while also emphasizing their connection to Berkshire Hathaway and their focus on small business insurance.
Workers' Compensation Insurance Updates
Katy presented an overview of their workers' compensation and business insurance offerings, highlighting recent enhancements including a new digital decisioning feature for up to $40,000 in premium that provides automatic quotes. She discussed their expanding coverage capabilities, including increased policy limits, new class codes being added from 130 to 300, and a 295% increase in new business in workers' comp to $48 million in 2026. Katy also mentioned upcoming product developments including a general liability policy with add-ons and bundled coverage options, along with new state-specific information available through their Agency Service Center.

She also mentioned the availability of regional wins and updated information in the Agency Service Center, which includes tools and resources for agents.

Katy presented updates on new features and improvements to the agency service center dashboard, highlighting the introduction of the 60-second appetite check tool for quick coverage identification. She discussed upcoming enhancements, including a streamlined quote-to-bind journey and the integration of the appetite check into guard.com. Katy also outlined GUARD's value-added services, including loss control offerings, claims processing, and policyholder resources, emphasizing the importance of regular updates and feedback from users.
Underwriting Guidelines Discussion Meeting
