Hippo's Home Protection Mission

Valerie introduced Hippo's mission to deliver intuitive and proactive protection for homeowners through modern coverage, proactive programs, and intuitive quoting. She explained that Hippo is an MGA, and quotes will show Spinnaker as the insurance company, though Hippo is the provider. The session was recorded and questions could be submitted via chat, with Hippo team members available to answer them.

HO3 Insurance Availability and Criteria

The meeting discussed the current availability of insurance products, focusing on HO3 coverage in specific states including Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Virginia. The discussion outlined preferred underwriting criteria, such as standard preferred home risk, primary occupancy, responsible homeownership, and homes aged 25 years or newer, with roofs between 0-15 years old and 0-1 claims. Mortgage payment protection was highlighted as an available endorsement, which helps customers pay their mortgage rather than paying off the loan in case of the policyholder's death.

Hippo Insurance Coverage and Process

The meeting covered Hippo's insurance offerings, including coverage details for loss of use, equipment breakdown, service line, and water backup, with specific limits and deductibles. The team discussed the paperless policy enrollment process, available discounts, and the use of the producer portal for quotes and policy management. Underwriting guidelines were reviewed, including inspection requirements and the use of digital tools like FlyRail for self-guided inspections. The session concluded with a reminder about the importance of quick reference guides and the availability of agent support for further assistance.
