The session concluded with a demonstration of the updated Hippo portal, highlighting the process of obtaining quotes and the importance of verifying address details when using pre-fill dropdowns.

Hippo Insurance Enrollment Process Overview

The presenter demonstrated the Hippo insurance quote and enrollment process, showing how to update home details, apply discounts, and enter customer information. They explained that Hippo is a paperless company requiring email for policy documents, and outlined the options for home inspections including self-service through the FlyRail app. The presentation covered underwriting guidelines for roof eligibility and insurance scores, noting that customers have 7 days to accept terms and conditions after binding. The session concluded with information about post-bind changes and the availability of agent support for any questions.

Hippo's Texas Operations and Deductibles

The meeting covered updates on Hippo's product and operational details. Tony clarified that Hippo is open for business in most of Texas, excluding Harris County and some surrounding areas, and provided information on brush mapping in Colorado. He also addressed questions about wind and hail deductibles, stating that they vary from 1% to 3% in wind and hail-prone states, and mentioned ongoing reviews to potentially reduce or offer additional options in states like Texas, Missouri, and Illinois. Tony advised checking the QRG or FirstConnect portal for water limits and encouraged agents to reach out to agent support if they need further assistance.

Hippo Insurance Operations and Services

The meeting covered various topics related to Hippo's insurance services and operations. Tony and First discussed multi-state appointments, mandatory wind and hail requirements in DFW, and the availability of a quick reference guide for eligibility information. They also addressed questions about quoting processes, licensing requirements, and the upcoming release of a welcome packet in the FirstConnect portal. The team clarified that Hippo is not yet on Easy Links and does not have a direct quote link for customers. They emphasized their openness to feedback on pricing and deductibles and provided guidance on contacting agent support for further assistance.
