SUMMARY

Church Insurance Program Presentation

Patricia presented an insurance program for churches, outlining coverage options including general liability, pastoral liability, hired and non-owned auto, EPLI, employee benefits, and sexual misconduct coverage with various limits and sub-limits. She explained that the program offers quick turnaround times of 48-72 hours for quotes and can cover church buildings, youth centers, sanctuaries, fellowship halls, cemeteries, daycares, and faith-based schools. Patricia noted minimum premiums of $1,500 for general liability and $1,000 for property, with specific restrictions on wind coverage in certain areas, and outlined the submission process requiring five years of loss runs.

Religious Property Insurance Coverage

Noah interviewed Patricia about insurance program coverage for religious properties. Patricia confirmed they can cover Hindu temples, churches, and Masonic buildings, with age restrictions of typically 100 years or younger and recent updates to wiring, plumbing, and HVAC. The program offers $300,000 per occurrence and $1 million aggregate for freedom of religious endorsement coverage, and can write in all 50 states except Hawaii, with higher protection classes available in rural areas up to protection class 10 with limits up to $2 million.

Church Insurance Coverage Policies

Patricia discussed insurance coverage policies for churches, explaining that while they can cover converted buildings and minor cosmetic updates, they cannot cover historic buildings on state registries or overnight stays at church-operated facilities. She clarified that they offer non-contributory coverage for landlords and can provide coverage for AA classes and counseling, but not for rehab centers offering overnight stays. Patricia also stated that they cannot consider properties with unrepaired damage in ongoing litigation with insurance companies, and while they offer higher non-owned auto coverage, they do not provide coverage for owned church vehicles.

Church Insurance Requirements Discussion

Noah and Patricia discussed insurance requirements and guidelines for church properties. Patricia explained that inspections are required every two years with a $250 fee, and they prefer a supplemental application over an accord for submissions. She confirmed that glass coverage is included in the building total SOV, with separate valuation required for stained glass. Patricia also clarified that their insurance policies are written through E&S markets in Texas and Illinois, and buildings must be updated for wiring, plumbing, and HVAC if built before 1990.

Promont Division and Agreements Process

Sean explained that Promont is a division of DOCSA, a larger company owned by Goldman Sachs that writes over a billion dollars in premium and has 30 managing businesses. He clarified that DOCSA agreements would be a one-time process through First Connect, starting with the Promont and Church products. Aundrea confirmed that agents would have access to request Promont in the carrier store within 5-10 minutes after the meeting, and the recording would be sent via email to all attendees.
