She demonstrated how wind mitigation credits are automatically applied based on home age and location, with the option to alter these credits if a wind mitigation inspection is conducted within 10 days of binding. Carissa also showed how policyholders can choose between package endorsements that lock down coverage options or standard policies that allow for more customization, while highlighting the importance of reviewing screen enclosure coverages when using multi-rater systems.

Insurance Policy Customization and Underwriting

Carissa demonstrated how to customize insurance policies by offering full, limited, or water damage exclusion coverage options, which provides flexibility in reviewing risks and underwriting guidelines. She explained the process of converting quotes to applications, reviewing underwriting questions, adding additional insureds, confirming coverages, and binding policies, emphasizing the importance of payment options and document attachments. Carissa also clarified that 4-point inspections are not required until a home is 50 years old, and outlined age restrictions for roofs and unacceptable wiring and plumbing, while noting that HO3, HO6, and DP3 policies are open statewide except in Monroe County.

DP3 Insurance Application Process

She clarified that owner-occupied DP3s are ineligible, but seasonally occupied properties with rental exposure may be considered. Carissa demonstrated the intuitive nature of the system, which highlights errors and prompts users to complete missing information.
