Bamboo Insurance Launches California Service
The Bamboo Insurance team launched their service in California, with Jonathan Vitale explaining that they are now open to onboarding new agencies after previously closing due to market volatility. Jonathan highlighted their new E&S Signature Program and $200 million capacity expansion, emphasizing that they offer solutions for 95% of addresses through admitted and non-admitted quotes with A paper, AM Best A-rated offerings. Mark LaFranci demonstrated the simplified quote flow process, while Ivan Graciano managed the Q&A session, with all team members available to answer questions from attendees who had already requested access through the portal.
Bamboo Insurance System Overview
Mark, a Field Sales Manager for Bamboo in Northern California, provided a walkthrough of the new insurance system. He explained key features like account management, pending quotes, and agent alerts. Mark highlighted the addition of ENS Signature, a new product with pricing closer to admitted policies, aimed at addressing capacity issues. He also demonstrated the process of creating a new quote, emphasizing required fields, product selection, and extensive underwriting questions. Mark noted that while short-term rentals and certain electrical systems are not currently supported, the company is exploring these options.
Bamboo Insurance Policy Application Guide
Mark provided a detailed walkthrough of the Bamboo insurance policy application process, explaining how to assess property eligibility, input replacement cost estimates, and handle additional details like second named insureds and mortgage information. He emphasized that economy and standard quality grades are insufficient for 100% replacement cost coverage, and demonstrated how to select appropriate coverage levels and endorsements, including the Premier Package which offers cost savings on common endorsements.
Bamboo Insurance Agent System Demo
The meeting focused on demonstrating Bamboo Insurance's policy issuance system and answering questions from potential agents. Mark Lafranchi demonstrated the process of generating a quote, binding a policy, and handling payment options. The system allows for e-signatures and policy changes, including adjusting effective dates. Jonathan explained that agents can expect to receive access to the system within 2-3 days after signing up through First Connect. Alex showed the available resources in the agent portal, including product guides and guidelines. Ivan shared the territory sales managers for different regions. The conversation ended with Jonathan addressing various questions about setup, broker of record requests, and DocuSign requirements.
