Diesel Partner Integration Process

McKenzie introduced Diesel as a new partner with First Connect and outlined the process for agents to request access to the commercial trucking product through the carrier portal. She explained that agents need to complete a form, which will take less than two minutes, and that the Diesel team will process requests within a few days. Chris then took the stage to present more information about Diesel and their support for agent growth in the commercial trucking sector.

Diesel Insurance Solutions Overview

Chris introduced Diesel Insurance Solutions, a digital-first trucking insurance agency focused on transportation risk, and outlined their product features including motor cargo and physical damage coverage with same-day quotes through Fortegra Insurance Company. He detailed the coverage limits, deductibles, and eligibility requirements, noting that B1 drivers are accepted and sand and gravel commodities are covered. Chris explained the simple workflow process for agents to submit quotes and manage policies through their online portal, and indicated he would be followed by team members Caitlin and Lisa to address underwriting questions.

Application System Guidance Meeting

Kaitlin provided guidance on using the application system, explaining that the right-hand side indicates missing information and the submit button turns green when complete. She mentioned the availability of bulk upload templates for multiple power units. Chris outlined the buying submission checklist requirements, which include named insured, coverages, signed quote, PFA copy, and warranty statement. Kaitlin also explained the two methods to request a bind and noted that underwriting will adjust the effective date when requested through the quoting portal.

APD and Cargo Insurance Coverage

Kaitlin explained coverage options for APD and cargo insurance, noting that agents can either update quotes before binding or clearly indicate in bind notes which coverage line they want to bind. Chris demonstrated the bind request process on DieselInsure.com, explaining that most binds are instant and policy documents are sent via email once approved. The team discussed policy servicing through the DieselInsure.com portal, claims support handled by Andrew and his team, and agent support available via email at Hello@dieselinsure.com. When asked about auto liability coverage, Chris confirmed they currently only offer physical damage and cargo coverage but plan to add auto liability later in the year, and noted they are competitive with Progressive in New Jersey for physical damage and cargo coverage.

New Product Launch Questions

Chris discussed questions about the new product launch, including whether credits are available to match competitor quotes, with Chris confirming they will review competitor quotes but cannot guarantee matching. He clarified that while they don't require specific financing, they work with any premium financing company, and commissions are set at 10% new and 10% renewal. Chris explained that while they offer auto physical damage coverage for both the unit and cargo, liability coverage is not currently available, and he recommended downloading the appetite guide for detailed exclusions information.

Diesel Insurance Product Updates

The meeting focused on answering questions about Diesel's insurance products and services. Chris confirmed that non-trucking liability will be available in the future, along with plans to introduce AL and GL products by year-end. The team clarified that while they currently don't offer cargo towing coverage, they can provide APD coverage and noted their physical damage form includes $20,000 for towing and storage, which is higher than typical policies. Chris emphasized that there are no minimum requirements for business submissions and confirmed they can accommodate clients growing from 8 to 18 trucks, up to 20 units total.
