What "Keep me signed in" means

When you log in to First Connect, you'll see a Keep me signed in checkbox on the sign-in screen. Checking it tells us that you're on a trusted device, so we'll skip the second verification step on that device for a while.

How it works

  • Check the box when you sign in on a device you use regularly (your work laptop, your phone).
  • On that device, you can stay signed in for up to 7 days without being asked for your second verification code.
  • You'll still enter your email and password each time you sign in — only the second factor is skipped.

        When to leave it unchecked

Leave the box unchecked when you're signing in on a device that isn't yours — a shared computer, a hotel kiosk, or a colleague's machine. This makes sure no one else can get into your account if they use that device after you.

Why your session might end early

Your trusted-device session can reset before 7 days are up. Common reasons:

        • You signed out — signing out clears the trust on that device, so the next sign-in will ask for your second factor again.
        • You're signing in from a different device or browser than the one you trusted. Each device is trusted separately.
        • You cleared your browser cookies or used private/incognito mode.

If your session is ending much earlier than 7 days and none of the above applies, contact support so we can look into it.
